Massive Up and Crush Empty Massive Up and Crush

I'm back with another question.
I have Rock Golem (3-80) on my field, he attacks and his crush effect activates. So my opponent loses one card. Then I play Massive Up (4-147). This turns rock golem to lvl 3, so will 2 more cards be discarded by the crush effect(because he's now level 3 and crush discards depending on the level-therefore level 3=3 cards)?

It would not work since Crush activates before flash step one, and if you use massive up on a flash step that would not work since all when attacks effects happen before any flash step
